A large successful media company seeks an experienced Sales Manager in Mclean, VA.

 Your teams have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding their targets through phone based outbound selling, you are driven to succeed and demonstrate consistent accountability, delivering and managing your teams goals. You have strong business awareness and the ability to analyse, plan, work and forecast effectively. Experience managing a team focusing on outbound, phone based selling to existing and new business clients within content or business information provision would be advantageous. 
 
Your Next Challenge:
Manage, coach and motivate a team of outbound telesales representatives to drive revenue results unassigned client space (team of 6+)
Manage sales revenue projections with support of senior management to deliver consistently accurate guidance to the business
Managing the sales team through use of effective coaching and feedback to ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds established revenue targets
A key part of this role is leveraging & monitoring lead sources, crafting efficient sales techniques and processes, and utilizing key performance metrics to drive improved performance
Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise regarding products.
Understand other products & competition in order to leverage these products to build strong new customer relationships and develop valuable revenue opportunities
Work collaboratively with other departments; Finance, Marketing, Sales Operations, etc to ensure consistency in our sales and service levels, revenue recognition programs and marketing programs that enhance both the team and the customer experience
Contribute as a team member of the Sales Management Team in developing strategies and tactics to achieve sales goals
What You'll Need: 
Expertise in B2B sales and business development
Solid experience managing, coaching and motivating high-activity, outbound, office based, telesales teams
A thorough understanding of lead generation, the best methods for its use and the best ways to monitor and improve its use & effectiveness in producing revenue
Proven track record driving teams to achieve and exceed revenue & KPI based targets
An ability to produce and implement reporting on revenue & KPI achievement in a way that is easy for all levels within the business to understand
Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and proposal development skills
High accountability for results, solutions driven, understands the need for constant improvement, functions well in a changing environment and the ability to drive sales teams
To be able to demonstrate high levels of maturity , confidence and credibility to all areas and levels within the business and externally
Demonstrated ability to work in an environment of change
Proficient knowledge of CRM systems, MS Office tools (particularly MS Excel) and relevant software applications (must have excellent MS Excel skills)
Salary: 75-100k plus an annual bonus, target total compensation is 130k.
